When should i book with you?

TruLove Films only books a limited number of weddings each year to ensure each couple has our undivided attention. We recommend booking with us as soon as you have a confirmed date. To secure your spot, a deposit will be required which is applied to your chosen package.

is there a deposit fee?

Yes, a deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your wedding date. The deposit fee is then applied to your chosen package.

is travel included?

Although based in New Jersey, our team LOVES to travel! We are available for out-of-state weddings as well as international destinations. For domestic travel, travel expenses are included in our packages, while for international trips, additional travel fees may apply.

are photography services available?

In this industry, you tend to make some friends along the way. Let us know if you’re looking for photography services and we’ll make sure we connect you with the people we love working with.

Do i need a second shooter?

It's totally up to you! Remember, you call the shots here. But if you're asking us, hiring a second shooter for medium to larger weddings is usually a good idea to make sure we capture all the action. For smaller weddings, having one might be all you need. If you're unsure about whether or not to hire a second shooter, we recommend meeting with our team to determine what would be best for your event.

do you have liability insurance?

Yes! We have liability insurance to ensure that you, your guests, and our team are protected during your special day.

how do i get started?

To get started, fill out our contact form to let us know a little bit about your event and any questions you have. After that, our team will be in touch with you shortly to schedule a consultation and discuss your vision for the day. We can't wait to meet you!

who films my wedding?

Our Lead Filmmaker, Larryon Truman, handpicks who will be on the cinematography team for your wedding day. Larryon films 60% of all our weddings, while the rest of our team films the remaining 40%. Rest assured that whoever is filming your wedding will be highly experienced and trained in shooting cinematic films.

what is the day-of experience like?

Epic, obviously. In all seriousness, our team aims to make your wedding day as stress-free and enjoyable as possible. We'll work with you to create a detailed event timeline and ensure we're in sync with your other vendors. On the day of, we will arrive early to scout the venue, set up our equipment, and capture pre-festivities such as getting ready with your bridal party, the first look, and other special moments before the ceremony begins. Throughout the ceremony and reception, we pride ourselves on making sure we stay out of the way and are unobtrusive as possible. Even if you don't see us, don't worry we're there.

do you collaborate with any photographers or vendors?

Definitely! We are all a part of your wedding team and have the same goal – make sure your day is seamless and memorable. We love working with photographers and other vendors to capture details of your day on film. While they are setting you up for the perfect shot, we'll be in the background capturing candid movements.

how is audio recorded?

We will mic the groom and the officiant for the ceremony and that will pick up the bride’s audio. We will also mic anyone giving a speech. If you have a DJ or there is a built-in sound system at the venue, we will also take audio from the mixer to have as a backup.

will you take drone footage?

You bet! We love incorporating drone footage to capture aerial views of your venue and surrounding areas, adding a unique perspective to your wedding film. Drone footage is not included in our standard packages, but is available as a package add. Please note, drone footage is dependent on FAA regulations. EDIT AND DELIVERY

WHO EDIT’S MY WEDDING FILM?

All editing is performed in-house by our filmmakers and film editors who have a sharp eye for detail and a creative knack for storytelling.

HOW LONG WILL THE FILM BE?

Length options are dependent on the package you choose, but the average length for our cinematic wedding films is 4-6 minutes. We also offer options for full-length edits of your ceremony, dances, and speeches. Visit our Details page for more information regarding film lengths.

DO I SELECT THE MUSIC?

We love hearing your music recommendations and will work to work with you to find licensed music that fits the style and feel we want to have. Most often, our couples prefer that we show a selection of our top picks and then choose from that list. Depending on the package you choose, films will include 1-2 songs. what format do i receive the footage in?

Once your film is complete, you'll receive access to a private online viewing platform where you can download a high-resolution file in various formats.

is raw footage included

Raw footage is not included in our standard packages but is available for a package add. For more information, visit our Details page.

how quickly do i get my film back?

You sound excited. We are too. We typically deliver the highlight trailer between 4-6 weeks while the full-length film is delivered within 4-5 weeks. We understand how eager you are to relive your special day, so we strive to work efficiently without compromising on quality.
